About THE studio

Karen Butler Interior Design is a Melbourne based studio established in 2012. I offer a personable and considered approach to interior design and oversee the creative direction of every project. Collaborating closely with the client, project team, and other specialists, I encourage a holistic and practical exploration for ideas and solutions, to enrich how interior space is lived & experienced. This attention to detail ensures a discerning environment that offers comfort, security, and functionality.

I am a practicing art & design professional with a demonstrated history of working in various capacities. This diverse experience has culminated in a multi-layered approach, that is always pointing to the importance of an intuitive encounter; a conscious and deliberate process of exploring and fully developing the inherent nature of the project; to achieve highly resolved human-centered spatial outcomes.
